To help other caterers promote themselves to new clients, A Gourmet Affair rents commercial cooking space. The 7,000 square foot facility provides an affordable option for new food service businesses by eliminating the six figure start up cost. With stainless steel ovens and a dozen ranges, everything is high-quality and commercial grade. New clients only require a health inspection permit, a business license and plan to be up and running in as little as seven days.
For large event catering, this enterprise serves up homemade soups and 13 different varieties of bread. Leafy and nicely composed salads come with homemade croutons and your choice of nine different dressings. Desserts from low key puddings, tortes, pies and cakes to baked Alaska and other flambees are available. Fruit, cheese, pate, seafood, relish and deli platters or trays are also on the menu. Entrees include creations made from seafood, chicken, turkey, duck, beef, venison, buffalo, pork or simply veggies. A carving and chef station makes any affair look professionally put together. Wedding and other special events cakes are available upon request.
Available on a first come, first serve basis, the mobile kitchen is perfect for rent for outdoor activities. With three ovens available, the mobile kitchen can assist with out of town events. With plans to open more rentable kitchen space across Canada, this business was a consumer choice winner in 2007 in the catering category.
