Combining Cultures

Africana Eatery and Cheers Pub is unique for their culturally diverse menu. They offer four ethnic styles of food: East African, Indian, traditional Western, and Chinese food prepared in both Szechwan and Mandarin styles. Both the restaurant and pub offer the same menu, with Cheers also serving pub-style snacks.

Foreign Flavors

At Africana Eatery and Cheers Pub, there are many East African menu items and a great diversity of flavors among those items. East African food often involves barbecuing, with beef, chicken, lamb, and prawns grilled as shish kabobs; grilled fish, often Tilapia or Halibut, is also popular. Curries are another East African favorite, and these are generally milder than Indian curries. Africana’s menu features numerous vegetarian dishes, as well as a selection of desserts that includes mango milkshakes, rose faludas, pistachio faludas, and home-made ice cream. Africana also offers a selection of fresh juices, including guava, coconut, mango, and passion fruit juice.

Authentically African

With zebra hides on the floor, antelope antlers above the doors, and imported African artwork on the walls, Africana Eatery and Cheers Pub bears a truly African décor. Next door, Cheers Pub stocks a full bar, including bottled beers imported from Kenya, South Africa, and India. Cheers Pub also specializes in tropical cocktails made with their fresh juices.
