Buddha Shakyamuni of India founded Buddhism around 500 B.C. Since then millions of people worldwide have adopted the peaceful, non-discriminating doctrines of the Buddhist faith. In a nutshell, Buddhism is an ancient Tibetan religion, dedicated to finding peace, wisdom and contentment from within. Buddhists practice daily rituals such as meditation, prayers and self-exploration, and they are encouraged to share their beliefs and experiences with others. Buddhists believe in living peacefully without causing conflict or bringing harm to others. The ultimate goal of this faith is peace and lasting happiness for all living beings.
