Dr. Sylvia Kowalewski is a dentist who was trained in Poland, and moved to Saskatoon in 1982, relocating to Calgary several years later and opening her own practice in 1990. Her extra training in laser dentistry led to incorporating three separate systems into her general practice, and now offers the newest and most advanced technology available in the process of perfecting great smiles.
Laser Perfection
Laser dentistry involves the narrow and intense beam of light energy that evaporates targeted tissue with incredible accuracy. Tooth decay and other diseased tissues are destroyed and washed away in the process, along with killing bacteria and other pathogens. These procedures are performed with a limited dependence on needles, drills and anesthesia. There is no vibration or discomfort, and no bleeding or inflammatory reaction after the work is done.

Dr. Kowalewski offers three separate laser technologies: Waterlase is used for work on teeth and gums, plus treating cold sores and canker sores; LaserSMile is used by the hygienist for advanced periodontal care; the Diagnodent is a laser that facilitates diagnosis of early and often not yet visible tooth decay.
