The Scene
Keep this sports-orientated lounge in mind when heading to, or leaving, the Stampeder games at McMahon via the C-Train. Four pool tables, happy hour prices, and the large TV screen above the bar, draws in a busy crowd, especially during the football season. It's a good spot to relax or wait it out while the crowds making their way to and from the Banff Trail Station die down.
Good Fun
It's not as noisy, or as large, as some of the other nearby McMahon Stadium joints, and the atmosphere is friendly with area regulars. The pool tables and darts are situated into one corner so you won't have to get up and move from your seat every time someone is taking a shot. If you enjoy Karaoke then this is a great spot. It’s not rare for the entire restaurant to end up singing the chorus and cheering you on.
Hot Wings Cold Beer
The menu offers typical pub fare, but is definitely better and cheaper than anything you'll get at the football and baseball parks. Sandwiches with fries, burgers and steak fill out the menu. Specials include appetizers, steak sandwich, wings, ribs – basically all the grub that sports guys enjoy, and are perfect to follow up with a cold beer.
