There are two locations of this very popular dance studio in Calgary, both in the southwest of the city. They offer classes for both adults and youths, and organize a performance troop, as well, for kids nine years of age and up to audition for. There is also a choreography class that teaches students to combine their passion for dance with their own creativity and make it all blend together in structured format.
Twists and Turns
Alive Danceworks teaches a variety of styles. Youngsters who have an elegant flair may want to sign up for the Russian-style ballet classes. If funky is more your style, try the hip-hop class. Tap and jazz are also on the roster, as is a combo class if you just can’t decide what you like the best and want to try out a bit of everything. Adults who sign up for the multi-style dance class learn aspects of swing, hip-hop, country, and more. More unique options include a musical theatre class that prepares students for life on the big stage, and an Acro-Dance class that combines gymnastics with dance and music.
