The Ambassador Motor Inn is located on 16th Avenue making it a convenient place to stay. Since 1962, this family owned and operated motel has been serving tourists. It was the first motel in Alberta with a swimming pool and the owners have taken pride in each facet of this business since the beginning. For visitors coming into the Calgary area from east or west of town, this motel is easy to find. It is just a five-minute-drive into downtown and is close to restaurants, grocery stores and other amenities. There are 80 rooms in total. Most have balconies and there is a variety of room set ups from single beds up to king beds and many rooms are equipped with more than one bed.
For the business traveller
Each room has a small table or desk, which makes working at your laptop comfortable. There is also a large meeting room that can be booked for 15 to 60 people. Access to downtown is handy from Edmonton Trail. Since parking is free, the Ambassador Motor Inn is an opportune venue to meet with clients and business associates.
Rest and relaxation
The amenities at this motel are such that visitors need not leave during their stay. There is an outdoor pool open during the summer. For eats and conversation, Len’s Den is an onsite lounge with pool tables, video lottery terminals, televisions, Karaoke nights, wing night, pub food, drinks and friendly staff. Amber’s Restaurant is also onsite and serves a full home-style breakfast, lunch and dinner menu.
