This East Indian restaurant opened in Calgary in 2005, and continues to please a steady stream of customers who enjoy spicy authentic Indian food. Baba ka Dhaba only has a counter and a few stools for customers, so their business is mostly take out. There is little dispute that the food is delicious and the price is right. If you are one of those who likes it hot, this place is sure to hit the spot. Baba Ka Dhaba offers a plentiful variety of spicy and savoury Indian dishes, including goat curry, chicken Pilao (chicken and rice), Pakore curry (vegetarian), butter chicken, Tandoori chicken, mixed Daal, Kadhai Beef, Curry fish, Goat Biryani, and Palak lamb (to name a few). Popular sides include naan, potato bread, and kheer (rice pudding). Baba Ka Khaba’s also offers a revolving menu of Daily Specials, as well as a wide assortment of Indian drinks and desserts. All food is made fresh daily with authentic Indian spices and ingredients.
