A piece of Bali
These days, one doesn’t have to travel to the South Pacific island of Bali to be able to appreciate the diverse beauty of Balinese art and culture. Find your own piece of the islands at Bali and Beyond, which is fully dedicated to fairly-traded Balinese arts and crafts. Like true serendipity, the owners fell in love with the people, the art and culture of this Indonesian island. Bali and Beyond opened its doors in 2008 with the hope of sharing their unique island finds with Calgarians while being able to share their profits with the Balinese trades people.

One of a kind finds
This Design District shop specializes in handcrafted items. Each item is a personally handpicked, one-of-a-kind piece directly bought from the local artisans, who often work out of their kiosks and homes. Browse through Bali and Beyond’s carefully selected furniture, art, baths and basins, outdoor vases, petrified wooden accents, stone sinks made from river rock and marble and terrazzo tubs. Bali and Beyond also imports water fountains, and Buddha and Hindu statuary that would add serenity to any home or office interiors.

Capturing the essence of Bali
There’s something to be said about the calm and repose of Buddha’ s image and Asian water fountains that make these pleasing additions to one’s living spaces. Feel like you have entered another world in this store’s basement location. Incense is burned at Bali and Beyond in an effort to recapture the Bali spirituality.
