Tee It Up Year Round
There are not generally a lot of places to swing the clubs in January in Calgary, especially if you don’t want to get in trouble for breaking them out in the middle of the living room. Rather than chance knocking over a lamp, head on up to Beddington Golf Park. The only two months of the year they aren’t open are November and December, and you’ll probably be too busy with Christmas parties that time of year to think about golf anyhow. You won’t have to worry about freezing your fingers off either, as there is a heater pumping out the hot air if it gets too cold. Half the tee boxes are covered and half are open, so you can decide whether or not you feel like getting a sun tan that day or hiding out from the rain. If you don’t want to work too hard at it you might want to check out the auto tee-up machine that they have installed. Hours are dependant on weather and daylight.
Perfect Your Putting
Get a head start on your season here. Beddington has a practice putting green and a sand trap to get that short game under control. For any aspect of the game, the professionals here can help. They offer both private and group lessons for both children and adults. Put together your own group or join an existing one. They also rent and repair clubs.
