The game of bingo game is simple and fun, and is said to have been played in some form or another for more than 400 years. Players purchase cards to start, with the more serious gamers usually the ones with a large number of cards going at once. The cards have numbers in columns from 1 to 75 under each of the letters in the word "BINGO", with groups of 15 corresponding to each letter. For example, the numbers that can appear under the letter "B" are 1 to 15. A caller sits at the front of the room and draws balls that have a letter and corresponding number. If you see that number on your card, mark it off! The winner calls out “BINGO” when he or she is the first to completely mark off the designated shape for the game (popular choices are lines, corners, all-around-the-free-space, blackouts and even sputniks).
