Those coming into Calgary make a point of heading down to the Eau Claire area. Eau Claire’s mix of pubs, restaurants, shops and hotels, high end condos and Prince’s Island Park, all in close vicinity, make it one of the most desirable meeting/party/urban living spaces in Calgary. Those passing through Eau Claire will be greeted by the landmark sawmill waterwheel of the Barley Mill, which is a favourite night spot amongst Calgary’s downtown folks, and is busy during the Stampede week in July, hockey nights, and just about any night that calls for some celebration.
Open summer patios
The Barley Mill sees a lot of action in any season, but is particularly busy in the spring and summer when it throws open its patio doors to welcome the warmth and open sky views of the city. The Barley Mill’s extensive lunch and dinner menu along with their domestic and imported draught beers, spirits and wines make the Barley Mill a favourite spot especially for those who live, work and play in Calgary’s downtown area.
A catered affair
Catering for any event, from cocktails, weddings, breakfasts, a traditional Christmas spread, or the Stampede are just some of the catered menus offered by the Barley Mill. With their picture perfect windows and white linen ambiance, events at the Barley Mill sure beat having to eat off paper and plastic.
