All You Need Is A Couple Of Hours
A popular weekend destination, this cozy hamlet sits among towering spruce trees in the Foothills gateway to Kananaskis Country. Bragg Creek's shopping area is a scene from the Old West with rustic railings and wooden porch walkways. An active arts and crafts community provides many of the hamlet's stores with original paintings, carvings and jewelry.

Plenty to Do
This area is also well known for its hiking trails and cross-country ski trails. You can downhill ski or golf at nearby Wintergreen Golf and Ski Resort, golf at Redwood Meadows Golf, explore the Bragg Creek ice-caves or picnic at Bragg Creek Provincial Park. This western-style hamlet offers fine dining, art galleries, antique stores and other unique retail outlets featuring Mexican furniture and cowboy memorabilia. Bordering the Tsuu T'ina Indian reserve, the area has numerous celebrations including the Tsuu Tina Pow Wow and Rodeo and Bragg Creek Days, featuring a pancake breakfast, parade and entertainment. The hamlet also has an artisans' Christmas show and sale in November.

Twelve kilometres north of Bragg Creek on Highway 22 is the site of Mission of Our Lady Peace, southern Alberta's first church established in 1873. A cairn marks the site.
