Profile Last Updated: March 12, 2008
Two brothers, Jim and Bill Brewster, started the company at the beginning of the 1900s. At the ripe old ages of 10 and 12, they began to offer guiding services for horseback trips into spectacular country that would eventually become the Canadian Rocky Mountain National Parks. Over time, they expanded their outfitting services to include transferring guests by horse-drawn wagon to and from the railway station in Banff and the Banff Springs Hotel. When automobiles became available, the tour business was, er, up and running, and has remained so ever since.
A Wide Choice Of Tours
With a fleet of over seventy modern luxury motorcoaches, Brewster’s offers a myriad of tours from offices in Banff, Calgary, Jasper, Lake Louise and Vancouver. They service just about any scenic destination you might wish to see in the Rockies. For example, the Mountain Lakes and Waterfall Tour includes Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake, the Natural Rock Bridge, Takakkaw Falls, and the Spiral Tunnel. Individual and group bookings are invited, and coaches can be chartered for private groups who wish a customized itinerary.
Experienced Professional Drivers
Sightseeing tours depart from Banff, Calgary, Lake Louise, and Jasper. All of the drivers live in Calgary or Banff and are intimately familiar with the natural and human history of the areas they visit. Drivers are trained as interpreters to exceed the standards established by Parks Canada, and they will give a commentary on the wildlife, heritage, and landscape during the tour. The company also offers Calgary Airporter and Resort Shuttle services with daily transfers to and from Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise, Canmore, Kananaskis and Jasper.
