The quaint atmosphere at Café Divine boasts the casual nature of the community, while the menu showcases the creative and inspired dishes that can only be called fine dining. You won’t find flavours like these at any other establishment. A short drive from Calgary, Café Divine attracts visitors from the city, as well as from all of the surrounding communities. In 2005, they were the recipient of the Foothills Readers Choice Awards for being the best place for a first date. Customers are invited to sit in the cozy, well lit interior or, in the summer, relax on the patio. Reservations are recommended.
A Meal to Remember
To begin your meal, try one of the decadent starters on the menu. A sure favourite is the in-house smoked spring salmon with maple cream cheese. It comes served on toasted sourdough, and garnished with pickled asparagus and sweet red onion. A number of dishes are available for your main course. Try the braised shoulder of windy ridge buffalo or the free range turkey salad with roasted hazelnuts and dried cranberries.
Learn How They Do It
Find out how they make everything so tasty, when you partake in the cooking classes at Café Divine. Classes are offered two or three times per year and cover a variety of topics, such as marinating and grilling, Mediterranean and tapa cooking, and even Christmas entertaining. Make sure that you don’t eat supper before going to class or you won’t have room for the delicious creations that you’ll learn to fashion.
