In 2006 the Calgary Dawgs moved homes and started their new vision with a name change, they are now the Okotok Dawgs. They started construction on a minor league stadium and training centre, and relocated to the town of Okotoks, just south of Calgary.
Seaman Stadium
On June 8, 2007 the brand new $8 million Seaman Stadium was filled by a sell out crowed to watch the first game in the brand new stadium. To make things even better, the new Dawgs then went on to win the WMBL Championships for that year. This league is made up of top college and university players, and some who will go on to play professional ball.
Summer Camps
The Seaman Stadium is also home to baseball summer camps for kids aged 8 and up. With so many new enthusiastic fans in this growing community they also have a store that sells jerseys, caps. T-shirts, and anything else a Dawgs fan might need or want. You can buy season tickets very reasonably, or just buy them before the game; whatever suits. Let’s play ball!
Details
Take Note: The stadium is a named after Don & Doc Seaman who gave the money for the project and own the Calgary Flames.
