Experience the country within the city. Calgary West Campground is set up on the side of the Paskapoo Slopes on terraced sites just south of the Trans-Canada Highway as you approach the west city limits. There is plenty of room for tents and RVs. Don’t feel like bringing your own place? Then stay in a comfortable cabin. There are lots of amenities onsite including a grocery store, souvenir shop and even a laundry. The campground is only 25 minutes from downtown and the Calgary Stampede.
Services galore
Campground and RV tourists share a secret: there is lots that can be done within a campground. The Calgary West campground knows how to tickle their customers’ pleasures and has 325 sites to choose from, 121 with full hook-up. There’s plenty to do to pass the time, including playing horseshoe, mini golf, swimming in the pool or even a meander through the forest. What better way to entertain the kids while you relax? And, if the weather is not so fine, play indoors at the game room or billiard room.
Up on a hill, through the forest and creek
The Calgary West Campground is pretty unique as all campground sites are terraced on a hill. Plus there’s a nature path that goes into the forest and a spring that bubbles through the campground. Kids and adults alike can share in the experience.
