The Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA) recognized the need for an affordable and accessible soccer facility in the northwest, and in 2003 began building the city's second largest indoor soccer centre with a little help from the City of Calgary, the provincial and federal governments and community associations.
Three Indoor Soccer Fields
The result: the Calgary West Soccer Centre; an air-supported indoor facility on the Bearspaw Water Treatment site boasting three indoor boarded soccer pitches, one indoor open field (not boarded), ten change rooms, a licensed lounge and café. It has a busy soccer season but has also been a popular venue for fundraisers, school trips and other tournaments. Since being established in 2004, it has been host to a wide variety of guests.
Want to Advertise?
If you’re not a soccer player you might want to look at the CWSC as an advertising opportunity. Sponsors here may advertise to 350,000 visitors per year doing banners, and field sponsorships. During a soccer, tournament as many as 6000 people will come to the centre each day. If you have a corporate event or a big game you can rent one of the centre three fields.
Hungry?: With a licensed lounge and café, you can have a break and get a snack in between games.
