Old Fashioned Toys
Cochrane’s one and only old fashioned toy store opened shop last July 2008. Unlike big box toy stores, however, this welcoming little shop focuses on high-quality, educational toys. There aren’t many battery operated thingamajigs in this toy store. Cochrane Toy Box wants kids to start thinking again, and they’re introducing toys that are stimulating, full of imagination, with and made with environmentally friendly materials.
Board Games and Puzzles
Feed your inner child with a trip to this store, as their toys are not just for kids alone. Having opened shop in Cochrane gives locals an excuse not to drive to Calgary. You can find everything from board games, puzzles, crafts and wooden toys that they try to source locally. Some of their wooden toys are made for them by a local Brooks toymaker. There are also musical instruments and Lego toys.
