Most people are one of three ways in the morning. The first type is the coffee drinker. That’s all they want – caffeine! And they are usually a bear until they get it. The second flavour of morning person wakes up ravishingly hungry and want something with some substance to go along with their coffee. The third type isn’t really a breakfast person, but knows it is the most important meal of the day so they force it on themselves. No matter which one of these you are, Color Tinto has a solution. Light eaters can snack on a fresh fruit plate or the granola plate with mixed fruit and yogurt. The hungry folks can grab the Sizzling Bagel sandwich complete with scrambled eggs, tomato and pepper. And if you are the coffee only type, no fear, there is plenty of the strong stuff, specialty or not, to go around.
Daytime Snacking
Lunch time brings on the sandwich selection at Color Tinto. They have a number of unique flavours including the Color Blanco – smoked turkey, avocado, mixed greens and a touch of olive oil on cibatta or a bagel. If you like fish, try out the smoked salmon sandwich with brie and capers. There are a few vegetarian choices as well. Along with your selection, you can add a soup or salad. These folks specialize in empanadas, a South American pastry stuffed with gourmet ingredients such as the Morosha with cheese, olives and peppers or the Mediterranean that comes with cheese and shrimp. Pretty much everything on the menu is in the single digits as far as price goes, so you won’t spend a lot for the gourmet flavours that you will get to try.
