What’s in a Name
The name of the cafe is an intended misspelling of “community”. The proprietor has a passion for tea, and conceived the place as an appealing venue for people to gather, enjoy exceptional coffees and teas, and generally celebrate life. The management and staff are committed to healthy food and a healthy life style. In that regard, they use organically produced items wherever possible, have eliminated the use of disposable cups, and have taken other steps to avoid unnecessary waste. In keeping with the shop’s name, they believe in sustainabilitea, unitea, creativitea, activitea, possibiliteas...well, you get the idea.

Coffees, Teas, and Food
The space is bright and inviting, has lots of large windows on two sides for light and the mountain vistas, and is tastefully furnished in a simple way. Seating is at small tables, on soft couches and chairs, or in huge beanbags. The lineup of coffees is extensive, and the shop specializes in loose leaf teas. The food menu includes salads, curry bowls, paninis, and many locally produced products like cookies, biscotti, pastries from the Gourmet Croissant, and meats from Valbella Gourmet Foods.

Regularly Scheduled Events at Communitea
Performances by local and visiting musicians who specialize in folk and roots music are regularly scheduled for Communitea. Tickets are required for the events, and they can be purchased in advance at the shop or at the door, providing they are not previously sold out. Check with the staff to get a list of up-coming artists and plan your attendance. All of it adds up to a John Denver Rocky Mountain High sort of experience at Communitea.
