Answer the Hunger Call
Cora décor is a kitschy farmhouse with plenty of plastic white hens roosting all over the place. Their symbol, a stylized happy face, is omnipresent even on the faces of their clocks. The restaurant features eggs in every imaginable fashion including omelettes and eggs Benedict, all prepared and presented with style and panache. You can get almost anything you want done with your eggs, dishes of which are named after favourite characters among founder Cora’s family and acquaintances. Breakfast includes bacon, ham, sausage, beans, cottage cheese, even hot dogs.

Get Your Dose of Fruit
The star of the Cora show is a parade of homemade goodies like waffles, crepes and pancakes that can be ordered with eggs or generous portions of fresh fruit with thick English cream or whipped cream. When they say a mountain of fresh fruit, they mean it, and your dish comes piled with grapes, oranges, pineapple, kiwi, bananas, plums and strawberries. You can also enjoy these treats for lunch. But if you want something more traditional, Cora also serves sandwiches, salads and wraps.

The Most Important Meal of the Day
In addition to fresh fruit, Cora offers a healthy balanced breakfast menu for health-conscious diners. The menu makes suggestions to help you select a meal with vegetables and fruit, grain products, meats and alternatives as well as milk products to cover all aspects of the Canada Food Guide. Cora notes that by eating a healthy, balanced breakfast you can get about 25 per cent of the energy and nutrients that you need during the day.
