Escape the hustle and bustle of downtown Calgary and duck into the Devonian Gardens. With over 2.5 hectares of greenery, and 1.6 km of of walkway, it is Alberta's largest indoor garden. Built in 1977, The Devonian Gardens is located on three floors of TD Square, the Devonian gardens boasts more than 20,000 plants amidst bridges, waterfalls, benches and fish and turtle ponds. Dispensers are available to feed the red-eared slider turtles, koi and catfish that can be found swimming in the ponds.
Serenity
Sections of the park have been named Quiet Garden, Sun Garden, and Creek Bed. Tucked away in the corner is the childrens playground, where the kids can burn off some energy while you enjoy the view of the terraces. The Reflecting Pond is the only outdoor part of the gardens, which is open during the summer and features statues, flowers and fountains around a reflecting pond. Various sculptures dot the garden, which also hosts a permanent art exhibition showcasing the work of local artists. The Devonian Gardens is a popular spot to eat lunch grabbed from the nearby food court, however, many just take advantage of this oasis to feed the fish and relax in the tropical humidity.
Weddings
