Located in the characteristic and historic Lorraine building block, Dharma Studios is a relaxing oasis in the urban core for those seeking body treatments with trained therapists. With seven therapists who have trained abroad in authentic eastern therapies, the focus is on Ayurvedic therapies. It opened in 2000 and now offers classes, workshops, seminars and private consultations and customized therapies. From Swedish massage to reflexology, shiatsu, acupuncture, Thai massages, yoga and tai chi, Dharma Studios offers a variety of options for health and wellness.
Atmosphere
Walking into this unique studio, visitors are literally stepping into another world. In the 1700 square feet space, there is a steam and show room, a large foyer and private rooms that are peaceful and relaxing. True to the nature of the Lorraine building itself, Dharma Studios is a characteristic space with hardwood, brick and large windows. While the focus is on treatments that include herbal body scrubs and authentic massage techniques, there are also a variety of apothecary style retail products that include meditation cushions, oils and more.
