If you are heading to a hockey game at the Saddledome or planning a meal before a concert on the weekend, better call ahead if you want to have a meal at this restaurant. They are a very short walk from the Stampede Grounds and they do fill up very quickly whenever something is going on in the area. Private function rooms are available for parties between 10 and 50 people, and they will customize a menu for you that all of your guests can enjoy.
Pioneering Food
Ed’s lays claim to introducing Calgary to Buffalo and New York-style chicken wings way back in 1984 when they first opened their doors and to this day they remain famous for their wings. But it is not all they serve, there is plenty of other selections on the menu including pizzas, simple meals like burgers and fries and fancier selections like the steak and lobster. There are plenty of appetizers if you just want a quick snack, and full meals that include traditional classics like the fettuccine alfredo. For something spicy, try out the seafood jambalaya, and if you’re a meat eater, you’ll want to try the filet mignon or the prime rib. They go great with a side of Creole prawns or the sautéed mushrooms.
