Fergus and Bix has only been open since July of 2008, but they are already attracting attention. Located in the booming neighbourhood of West Springs, their bright and airy space invites you in. It’s a large room with tasteful decorations, and guests are welcome to take a secluded table or belly up to the bar.
The 16 microbrews that Fergus and Bix have on tap are all Canadian, and many are made in Alberta. All of these beers are handcrafted to high standards and offer a plethora of different flavours. Whether you’d like the refreshing zing of a pale ale, the filling warmth of a stout or a fruity mix like raspberry or pepper berry beer, Fergus & Bix have it on tap, ready for you to sample.
But it isn’t just the beer that sets Fergus and Bix apart, it’s also the menu they offer. Enjoy their sesame crusted ahi tuna with a five-spice crust. If you want a twist on the usual pub classics, try their crispy yam fries. If you’re looking for a light lunch or dinner, try their Bang Ko Noodle Bowl with grilled sirloin, Asian vegetables and steamed shrimp in a spicy broth, or their Cobb Salad with blackened chicken, roasted corn, egg and Monterey Jack cheese. For something more substantial, try an entrée like the beef tenderloin, grilled and served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and gorgonzola green beans. You can also try one of their flatbread pizzas like “Zorba the Greek”, topped with spicy ground beef, olives and feta cheese.
Features: Microbrewed beers, unique pub food, full bar.
