In 2004, before Fiasco Gelato arrived on the scene, Calgarians had nowhere to go to find quality gelato. Often confused with ice cream, gelato is in fact, a top-quality frozen dessert. Made with milk or soy milk, sugar and select flavourings, gelato provides a more dense and flavourful taste than ice cream. It contains less than 15 per cent air, whereas ice cream contains upwards of 50 per cent air.

Made using all natural ingredients from Belgian Callebaut chocolate to Sicilian pistachios, Fiasco fans will find enough of an assortment to satisfy their cravings. Gelato comes in over 20 unique flavours including tiramisu, shortcake and amaretto. Sorbetto, for those who are looking for a dairy free chilly dessert, is offered in around 12 fruity varieties including mango, kiwi and green apple.
For a lunch option, Italian ciabatta panninis are grilled to perfection upon request. The drink of choice at Fiasco is the powerful Illy espresso, the choice for coffee connoisseurs.
