A Bounty of Fruit
At Bumbleberry Orchards, the fruit is grown with wine in mind. There's not a grape in site, mind you; this wine is made from luscious Alberta fruit and is produced by Field Stone Fruit Wines. As Alberta’s first cottage winery, Field Stone Fruit Wines is located forty minutes east of Calgary and sits on 50 acres of mature berry orchards. Their on-site wine store has free tastings all summer long.
Wine of the Berries
Discover wines made from raspberries, strawberries, wild black cherries and saskatoon berries at Field Stone, all lovingly developed by their very own Canadian winemaster. Dominic Rivard has won numerous medals and awards for his fruity wines, and is a founding director of the Fruit Wines of Canada Association. All wines are made from fruit grown right on location, and boast exciting and interesting tastes to delight your palate.
U-Pick Orchard
At Field Stone’s orchard, Bumbleberry, you can also pick berries in the summer months. With their U-Pick service, anyone can stop by the orchard during growing season and pick a lovely bounty. Call the information line for hours of operation and other inquiries. Wines can all be sampled at the winery or at their booth at Calgary Farmers' Market.
