Open since October 2008, this 3,400 square foot care centre provides complimentary coffee to encourage dog owners to get acquainted with the facility. Doggie daycare from Hound’s Lounge is provided in half day, full day, a 10 day or monthly programs. This establishment offers a controlled environment where dogs can socialize together, and includes two walks daily along the river. This clean, fresh facility has a low vaccination protocol for dogs and is available on a walk-in basis. There is ample free parking outside the store front for patron convenience.
Doggone education
Hounds Lounge also offers etiquette classes for your pooch on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings starting at 6:45 p.m. Training classes range from Puppy to Level 1 to Level 2 and finally Ultimate, and typically last one hour. Classes are limited to eight to 10 dogs each. Other specialty seminars like Making Sense of Dog Food are offered on weekend afternoons and are usually two hours in duration. This establishment also carries collars and leashes from RC Pets. A photographer provides 8x10 candid shots for a fee.

Puppy socialization times are on Tuesday nights. A certified trainer is available during this time to answer your questions while young dogs get an opportunity to mingle. Puppies must be under eight months of age and there is a drop-in fee associated with this service.
