The Calgary Irish Cultural Society is a strong, vibrant society that unites Irish Canadians and gives them the opportunity to share and preserve their traditions and to celebrate their rich cultural roots.

The primary objectives of this society are to: promote Irish cultural activities; reinforce the sense of identity of the Irish community in Calgary; and to act as a communications medium in matters of interest to the Irish Canadian community. Members pay a modest fee and are invited to share friendship and take part in a variety of events including concerts, dances, theatre, Ceilidhs, whist drives, pub nights, Irish language classes and numerous other traditional Irish activities.
Rental Venues
In addition to hosting activities and events, the society also has two venues available for rent at the Irish cultural centre in northwest Calgary. The Bunratty Hall can accommodate approximately 170 people and is equipped with a full kitchen, a bar and a stage. This venue is ideal for family gatherings, birthdays, parties, wedding and other special occasions. The second venue at the centre is Rosie O’Grady’s Pub. Rosie’s is a traditional Irish pub with a warm cozy atmosphere and seating for up to 80. Rosie’s also has a full bar and kitchen available for use.
