A Bakery with a European Feel
When you enter JK Bakery you will find a variety of breads and buns in bins and on wooden shelves to your right. As you move into the shop, the display cases are filled with tempting baked goods including cakes like Black Forest or mocha, deep dish apple pie, doughnuts, Nanaimo bars, apple strudel, cinnamon twists, and all kinds of other treats to take home or accompany your morning coffee. Don’t forget to grab a fresh baguette for later. There is bustle in the shop as customers come and go, but relax and enjoy.
Lunches Are a Specialty
There are a number of tables set in the front area of the bakery for morning coffee drinkers and luncheon diners. There are also a few tables on the sidewalk patio in front of the shop, so take your choice of seating. Sandwiches are made to order, often on still warm freshly baked bread of your choice. All of the standard sandwiches are available, with the trimmings that please you. A variety of soups are simmering, ready to join your sandwich for a hearty meal. If a sandwich is not on your list, try the meat pies and sausage rolls. You will not be disappointed.

Quite apart from the coffee, breakfast, and luncheon trade, JK’s is a large bakery that does a significant wholesale businss from the premises. Breads, buns, cakes, and other baked goods are produced for retail and restaurant clients in the area, and the delivery trucks are operating out of the bakery in a regular procession.
