The Jack Singer Concert Hall is a top-notch Calgary concert and performance venue with a seating capacity of 1,800. Named after Mr. Jack Singer, and generously furnished with a $1.5M contribution from his sons, Alan and Stephen Singer, the Jack Singer Concert Hall has a distinct air of quality and class. The permanent home of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and EPCOR CENTRE's BD&P World Music Series, the Hall is said to be one of the most acoustically perfect halls in North America.

This popular venue plays host to an impressive variety of performances and events each year, including acclaimed musical events, stand-up comedians, big bands, jazz ensembles, and popular vocalists. In addition to boasting phenomenal acoustics, the Jack Singer Concert Hall is also renowned for having one of the largest pipe organs in Canada. The Carthy Organ is a spectacular musical instrument donated by the Carthy Foundation in memory of Mrs. Margaret Mannix. Valued in the range of $750, the pipe organ is a prized instrument known to produce grandiose sound.
Technicalities
The Hall features a laminated spruce wood acoustical canopy that can be raised or lowered to tune the hall. In the summer of 2004, the sound system at the Jack Singer Concert Hall was treated to a million dollar upgrade. The new cutting-edge technology includes an advanced hearing assistance system. Other features include full bar and coffee bar services, and lobbies large enough to accommodate large (up to 1,000) pre- and post-event gatherings.
