Billed as the real club in northeast Calgary, Jimmy’s Night Club has been an institution, in some incarnation or another, since the early 1980s. Originally called Jimmy Dean’s, it is now more colloquially known as Jimmy’s. Open Friday and Saturday nights only, Jimmy’s is a welcome alternative to the downtown club scene in Calgary.
Non-Stop Tunes in a Convenient Location
Located in The Coast Plaza Hotel & Conference Centre, just a short walk from the Marlborough LRT Station, Jimmy’s has continued through the years to become a popular destination for club goers in Calgary. Because of the variety in music, which features R&B dance on Friday nights and house dance music on Saturday nights, the club attracts people of all ages and interests. And the 650-plus person venue provides ample room for patrons to dance the night away.
Modern Decor for the Discerning Club-Goer
The red and black decor lends a modern feel to the venue, which has been updated regularly in its nearly 30 years of existence. Because of the size of the venue, patrons should be able to find a secluded corner to have a drink, or perhaps a perch with a fabulous sightline from which to observe the dance floor. And, of course, those looking to just spend the night dancing will have more than enough room to show off their moves.
