La Brava Bar and Grill creates a new slant on the classic pizza place. The menu is made up of favourites from both Italian and Mediterranean cultures. They have barbeque wings right beside baked garlic shrimp! Steak, an Alberta staple, comes with house Italian or Caesar salad. Old Italian specialties like baked lasagna round out their vast selection. Oh, and they have an extensive pizza menu as well! Try one of their creations or pick and choose your own toppings.
Warm and Friendly Service
Both Italian and Mediterranean cultures have a rich history of down home cooking and warm, friendly hospitality. La Brava takes advantage of this common tradition. The restaurant is a bright, bistro like space with bright white walls and soothing lighting, which adds to the bright atmosphere. With little in the way of decoration you may not be able to tell if you are sitting in a street side café in Rome or Calgary!
Finish With A Sheesha
A hooka is an Eastern smoking pipe designed with a long tube passing through an urn of water that cools the smoke as it is drawn through. The tobacco is nicotine and preservative-free, and comes in yummy flavours such as apple or honey. The pipe is shared by the table, and it's an excellent way to finish a meal and begin the digestion process. La Brava’s prices are inexpensive, but you will leave feeling full, both in your stomach and in your wallet! Afterwards take a romantic walk or work off the calories along Stephen Avenue, located just a couple of blocks north.
