Diners at La Pachanga often end the evening slightly sweaty, and not because of the spices in the food. Every evening rounds out with diners and staff taking to the dance floor for a sultry salsa or a tender tango, accompanied by, of course, a live Latin band. Several guests end up returning often for nightly “specials”, such as Tapas and Tango Tuesdays, free dance lessons and a DJ dance party on Wednesdays, intermediate dance lessons on Thursdays and live Latin Salsa bands on Fridays and Saturdays. Even those with the most severe cases of stage fright will be tempted to try out a few new steps, as veterans just hate to see anyone left out.
A Delicious Heritage
To match its warm, red interior, La Pachanga’s cuisine is hot, spicy and bursting with flavour. Classic Latin recipes are made to order such as Carne Asada al a Tampiquenas, made with AAA sirloin, cheesy Tinga, frijoles, arroz rojo, flautos, salsa and Latin crema,. Signature dishes include fragrant chicken and seafood paellas for four and Pescada Veracruzana, which is red snapper, bell peppers, onions and capers.
Total Latin Flavour
The fantastic flat bread pizzas are named after the mystic Latin figures of El Chupacabra and El Mariachi, who surely would have enjoyed partaking in their namesake dishes. Other classics that must be tried are the prawn and scallop Ceviche on the seafood menu, and the Mole chicken and Chimichurri lamb chop on the meat menu. For dessert, indulge in crunchy churros, a luscious mango torte or sweet carmelized platains.
