A Favourite Stop for Coffee and a Morning Snack
Laggan’s has a large and loyal following that includes mountain guides, park rangers, skiers, hikers, construction workers, truckers, and other denizens of the Rocky Mountain parks. There is a wide selection of coffees on offer, including espresso, cappaccino, and lattes. Various teas are also available. Fresh baked goods from the bakery are on sale to accompany the morning coffee, including croissants, Danishes, doughnuts, cinnamon buns, and muffins in five different flavours. You can take your coffee and goodies with you, or sit down and relax in the bakery.
The Bakery Offers Lots of Tasty Things
Laggan’s makes ten different kinds of breads daily, including rye, whole wheat, cracked wheat, sourdough, French, sweet poppyseed, baguettes, and buns. The breads are made from organic wheats, wherever possible. In addition to breads, the bakery produces a full complement of dessert and fruit pies, cakes, strudels, tarts, and cookies. The selection of pastries changes regularly.
The Deli
The deli at Laggan’s carries a complete line of domestic and imported cheeses and pâtés, cold salads, and a large variety of cold cuts, including hams, salamis, and turkey. Hot foods are available, with a featured daily special. Hot items include homemade soups, chicken wings, legs, and breasts, meat pies made with chicken or, veggie pies, a variety of pizza, sausage rolls, and other items. Sandwiches can be purchased pre-prepared or made to order on the spot. The staff are quite happy to put together bag lunches for skiers and hikers.
