Victorian Lamps
Most antique dealers start out as novices, with collections that grow over the years. The natural course is to trade, sell and pass on some of that passion with other likeminded collectors. Light Up Your Life opened shop in 2007 and is considered to have the largest collection of Victorian oil and kerosene lamps in Western Canada.

Lamps From the 1700s to 1900s
Antiques have a dose of history that accompanies each and every piece. For instance, did you know that there were not many 1700s high end lamps in Alberta? The pioneers did not have the money to buy such fancy things. Though there is a small niche of Victorian lamp collectors, Light Up You Life happily accommodates their demands. The shop sources most of their Victorian lamps south of the border. You will find examples from New York, Boston, Maine and England. Light Up Your Life specializes in ready to work, antique oil lamps and shades from circa 1700s to the 1900s. They also do oil and kerosene lamp restorations.

An Amazing Collection
Most people are amazed to see the quality and variety of the lamps at Light Up Your Life. They have anywhere from 800 to 1,000 items at any given time. They’ll gladly help you with repairs and also sell parts such as chimneys, wicks, and burners.
