Mandarine Couture opened its doors in Inglewood in April of 2008, and has quickly garnered the attention of Calgary’s divas, fashionistas, and trend-seekers with a modern eye. A high-end clothing and accessory shop, Mandarine Couture is not for everyone… just those with refined tastes and deep pockets.
What’s in Store
Mandarine Couture Owner Melody Song set out to recreate the feel of the classy, high-brow boutiques that are commonplace in trendy Europe and fast-forward Asia. In store, look for hand-chosen blouses and tops, one-of-a-kind coats and jackets, classic business apparel, as well as flirty evening dresses. Unlike regular clothing shops that introduce new lines at seasonal intervals, Mandarine Couture imports unique collections and new, fashion-forward pieces each month. Some items are limited – one only per size! The store also stocks handmade jewelry from independent designers, a modest assortment of Italian handbags by Byblu, Gai Matiolo and Totty, and a smattering of unique imported gift items.

Mandarine Couture is located along Calgary’s original main street, which has turned into the upscale business community of Inglewood. The boutique-style shop occupies an airy 1,200 square foot showroom, with a broad expanse of honey oak floors, lots of white space, and a sparse arrangement of clothing and accessories neatly packed along the outer perimeter. For those who like to sleep in, no need to worry about missing the eclectic limited items, the store is only open from noon to 5pm Wednesday to Sunday.
