The works of art fashioned at Maryanne’s Eden come in a variety of styles. The talented Maryanne Jespersen’s paintings are usually of traditional, Alberta based-scenes, including landscapes, barns, still life, florals, horses, cows, birds and abstracts created in oils and watercolours. Her pieces represent a certain closeness to nature that is both attractive and endearing. Jespersen also sells a wide variety of handmade garden art that adds a touch of both beauty and humour to your outdoor oasis. There are ornaments such as frogs and turtles, moons and suns to adorn your garden walls, and the bird baths, planters, sculptures and stepping stones are all tasteful and inviting to both human and beast.

Gateway Country The foothills area has been an inspiration for much of Maryanne’s work and there are a lot of things to do in the Black Diamond and Turner Valley area along with browsing for original art. The perfect distance for a day trip out of the city, the route to Maryanne’s Eden is also one of the most scenic in Alberta. Coming from Calgary, the easiest way to find Maryanne’s Eden is to take Hwy 2 south of the city, and head west when you see the sign for Hwy 7. About 20 minutes down the road and you will enter the town of Black Diamond. You will spot Maryanne’s Eden on the south side of the street, just before you hit the four-way stop.
