Since opening their doors in 1991, this pub and restaurant has become one of the trendiest spots to hang out in Calgary. They have what is very possibly one of the largest, and certainly one of the most entertaining patios in the city. It is four different levels, sports a six foot high waterfall, a lush green garden and offers plenty of people watching opportunities, which is important if you are a regular on 17th Ave SW. If it is just too chilly to hang outdoors, then there is still plenty of action indoors. If you’d rather watch sports than people, there are plenty of TVs scattered throughout this establishment.
California-Style Food
Have a plate of calamari, or try out the goat cheese bake. For your main course, Melrose serves up a number of thin crust pizzas baked in their forno oven. There are also flat breads and sandwiches, plenty of greens and salads, pastas and for the protein lovers, there are steaks, salmon, chicken and pork chops. Take a break after dinner and play some pool or NTN, or simply kick back and enjoy all the scenery at Melrose.
