Location is Everything
Conveniently located downtown, Mirada is the perfect place to get pampered after work. Despite its downtown location, services are not “downtown priced” and can fit within everyone’s style budget. With 5,000 square feet of space spread over two levels, it is also one of the largest salon/spas in Calgary. The ground level is home of the salon, where large windows allow natural sunlight to pour into the open, modern space. A flight of stairs leads up to the spa, which has a very zen-like, natural feel. Rocks, bamboo, fountains and original paintings dot the earth-toned space, which branches off to a handful of private massage rooms.
Something for Everyone
Downstairs in the salon, customers can enjoy a haircut, styling, or colouring from one of the talented hairstylists. The spa offers some regular favourites, such as manicures, pedicures, waxing or facials. More adventurous customers can experience one of Mirada’s different types of body wraps, which includes a trip to the relaxing 5-headed Vichy shower. Registered Massage Therapists (insurance qualified) are also available to help busy urbanites relieve their tension. The spa also offers half and full day packages for a true retreat and revitalization. Gift certificates are available as well.
Natural Beauty
After experiencing the products at the salon and spa, customers are invited to purchase their favourites for their own use at home. Mirada prides itself on carrying the Aveda line of products, which are made with the most natural ingredients possible and with the environment in mind. During Earth Month (April), Mirada partners with Aveda in accepting donations to help endangered species. The salon/spa also carries products by Bumble & Bumble.
