A Time Tested Experience
Since the early 80s, the folks at Moti Mahal have been bringing Calgarians the flavours of India. The tastes brought to you at this restaurant hail from the Kashmir region in the northwest of India. The food is served in a setting that brings together families and lets them savour new and authentic cuisine that they might not have tried before. But once you have tasted the dishes prepared here, they are confident that you will come back for more. Although it is a great place for families to introduce kids to this cuisine, it is also suitable for groups celebrating birthdays or for quiet conversation among friends. Both locations have a nice selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to compliment your meal.

The Flavours of India
Curry is an important part of what makes Indian cuisine so special, but it does not dictate the flavour of everything you will find here. There are plenty of things to try on the menu including a number of specially crafted Tandoori hot plates, seafood specialties, and chicken and lamb entrées. For something spicy you may want to try out the Prawn Vindaloo - prawns cooked in a spicy hot piquant sauce served with potatoes. Some customer favourites include the butter or tandoori chicken and the samosas. There are also numerous vegetarian options such as the Gobi Korma – grated cauliflower cooked in a cream sauce with raisins and almonds.
