The Area
Mountview Cottage B&B is a lovely hillside bungalow built high on a ridge just 40 minutes, west of Calgary. At this deluxe quiet four-acre retreat, the air is spring fresh, the mountains are in full view, and the valley below is a scenic paradise brimming wild prairie-wool and grazing cattle. Nearby Cochrane is a quaint little town with a western look and feel, a smattering of unique shops and eateries, and world-renowned ice cream.

Relax in this tastefully decorated Bed & Breakfast, featuring three comfortable rooms, a hearty mountain breakfast, and warm country hospitality. Guests are welcome to enjoy TV and a game of pool, or a soak in the hot tub under the stars and Northern Lights. The B&B is also equipped with a sauna, a fireplace, a barbeque and a fire pit area. Activities in the Area
All throughout this gorgeous corridor there are plenty of scenic trails for hiking and biking, as well as spectacular trout fishing in the Bow River. In Cochrane (just 6 kms away) there is the Western Heritage Centre, a Historical Museum and Interpretive Centre honouring the area’s western heritage. Mountview Cottage is just a 20-minute drive to Calaway Amusement Park, where families can enjoy Alberta’s mini version of Disneyland. Golf and skiing are available in the area, and Spruce Meadows Equestrian Centre is less than an hour’s drive. Then of course, back in Calgary, there is plenty of sights and scenes to take in, including the world famous Calgary Stampede!
