Where History Lives is the motto of Nanton, incorporated as a village in 1903, two years before Alberta became a province. Stroll down its historic streets and you will receive a picturesque history lesson. The town's numerous antique stores lend an air of nostalgia, reflecting a fertile past still rooted in this ranching and farming community. Nanton matured into a town in 1907.
