With a name as simplistic as this, O Restaurant and Lounge is located right in the heart of Marda Loop is bound to spur some buzz. But this trendy restaurant has more going for it than just a unique and catchy name. Celebrity chef David Adjey, best known for his appearances on the Food Network’s Read, Set, Cook, and Restaurant Makeover, is the master mind behind this restaurant lounge. He is the creator of O’s food concept.

 

Believe it or not, O Restaurant and Lounge didn’t get this name by accident. “O” really does have meaning. Everything on the menu is made from scratch – from the pizza dough to the pasta sauce – everything is made in house. The ingredients are bought from local farmers, and the vast majority of the products are organic. O’s vision is to leave zero environmental footprint behind.

Most of the items on the menu are conventional North American dishes, like Caesar salad, flat breads, quesadillas and the like. But the restaurant distinguishes itself with a fun play on spices, and unique flavor combinations. Try the buttermilk chicken tenders with icy-hot cherry sauce, or the Texas sushi with chili-charred strip loin steak and crispy scallions, lettuce and blue cheese dressing. For dinner, the organic king salmon with crushed Yukon gold potatoes, brassica dill Dijon vinaigrette and cedar-scented glaze is a nice and light. Alternatively, create-your-own-pastas are always a guaranteed hit.

The spacious O Restaurant and Lounge has ample space for the lunch hour rush, while the relaxed vibe and ambient décor makes it the perfect haven for a late night dinner. Be it a first date or a large party, O’s open floor plan offers something for everyone.
