What Is The Illness?
Also referred to as manic depression, this illness affects both women and men and most commonly strikes around the age of 28. Approximately three percent of the population suffers from bipolar affective disorder and without proper care and treatment, the severity and frequency of the symptoms are known to increase.

There to Help
OBAD is a registered non-profit organization that was created to help people who are directly or indirectly affected by bipolar disorder, depression or anxiety. While OBAD is not able to make diagnosis or provide medical advice, it is able to offer information, education, seminars and support to those who suffer with mood disorders. The primary aim of the society is to help affected individuals, as well as their families, to understand their mental illness and to improve the quality of their lives.
