Profile
Carefully Planned and Elegantly Executed
Quarry is the result of lots of hard work, dedication and the imaginations of brother-and-sister team David and Naomi Wyse. The name Quarry is in salute to Canmore’s mining history, and the old-fashioned values of early Alberta are exemplified in the industrious nature of sunny bistro. The food is amazingly fresh – the breads are made on site, as well as many other items – even the ketchup! The menu changes seasonally, which also ensures the freshness and superb quality of the ingredients.
Indulge…You’re Worth It
Warm and cozy in the winter and cool and comfortable in the summer, Quarry’s menu was developed from chef David Wyse’s expertise with French and Italian cuisine. The bistro serves lunch, dinner and a brunch on the weekend, and dishes feature meats and produce from respected organic farmers from the local area. For dinner, fresh-made pastas fill up tired skiers who have spent the day challenging the surrounding mountains, and entrées vary from sablefish to lamb chops to a mouth-watering Alberta AAA striploin.
Scenic Locale, Fresh Food
Vegetarian options include salads, wild mushroom linguine and Portobello mushrooms and goat cheese. The lunch menu lists a unique-sounding bunderfleisch sandwich and spaghetti and lamb meatballs. Weekend brunch offers classic favourites such as eggs Benedict and French toast – but with delightful and yummy twists. Don’t be afraid to make a special request. The staff is endlessly professional, genuinely pleasant, and are there to ensure everyone is able to enjoy the best meal possible. For those in the city, Quarry is definitely worth the scenic drive and for those in Canmore – lucky you!
