Born Out Of Necessity
Restoration Hardware is all about offering consumers high-quality and high-end products for the home. Their philosophy places an emphasis on classic and timeless design, but never in a staid or lifeless way. The company was founded in 1980 by Stephen Gordon, who had trouble finding hardware and fixtures to restore his Victorian home. Through his search, he discovered a need in the market and thus Restoration Hardware was born. Today, they operate over 100 stores across North America and their Vancouver store carries on that tradition, generating a level of customer loyalty that is seldom seen in retail circles.

More than Hardware!
The name of the store is somewhat misleading, as the avid home consumer will find not only hardware but furniture, fine bedding and linens, lighting, outdoor items, you name it, Restoration Hardware’s got it supported by knowledgeable and helpful staff. Window and floor fixtures, bath sconces, mailbox and house letters and numbers, pillows, throws, curtains, anything home-related you can shake a stick at, basically. Truly, the store is like a classy Home Depot for those who like to keep things simple and elegant. Quality – in both the materials and the craftsmanship is the over-riding influence across their product lines.

You’ll Find Perfect Gifts, Too
Restoration hardware aims to be more than just redecorating and restoration specialists, though. Non-extravagant (meaning affordable) and charming gifts can be found for that special host, hostess, or home-entertaining freak you know and love. Random, whimsical things like Swiss Army knives, pillar candles, tin racing-car toys, peppermint candies, bedside clocks or fine linen hand towels are sure to please your gift recipient.
