Don’t Let the Address Throw You
Some people will tell you the address is 1120 – 46 Avenue S.E., and others say it is 4645 – 12 Street S.E. Don’t worry, those two addresses are the same place, and besides, you can trust in the fact that there are no other restaurants operating in the area from an old transit bus. Go east on 46th Avenue S.E. from Blackfoot Trail and keep an eye out for a red transit bus parked in the grass beside the road. It does not take an abundance of investigation to find the place. Pull into the gravel lot adjacent, walk up to the bus window, place an order, and wait for delivery.

Burgers Are King at Rocky’s
To say that Rocky’s produces pretty good burgers is equivalent to saying Rembrandt was a pretty good sketch artist. The Rocky burgers are, quite simply, on a different level from anything else you will come across. Whatever the secret to their preparation, it is not shared with other purveyors of fast food. These burgers are tasty things. They are done perfectly – well cooked, with a crunch on the outside, while the inside is delectably juicy and flavourful. Heaven in a bun delivered from a grill inside a derelict bus. By the way, a single burger here is a huge meal. Be warned.

Other Things Also Available, Though Not Many
If you are not after a burger, Rocky’s can offer you a smoky, with or without cheese; a steamer hot dog, also with or without cheese; a classic BLT sandwich; and bacon and egg on a bun, believe it or not, with or without cheese. Apart from that, you better have a burger. As side dishes, there are fries, onion rings, and poutine. The fries and onion rings are made only when ordered and only with fresh produce, so be prepared to wait for those special treats. No heat lamp mass-produced fries here folks.
