Each and every supplier of Roots product must meet high standards for worker health, safety and labour standards. They must sign a detailed code of conduct agreeing to meet these standards and then be open to regular and unscheduled visits to verify terms and conditions are being met. Roots understands that delivering quality goods means little if it comes at the expense of human safety and dignity and that both must have equal value.

The Line
Everyone is familiar with Roots’ famous logo which can be seen on T-shirts, sweat pants, sweat shirts, jackets and the like. All of Roots’ casual wear is high quality, comfortable and durable. Besides the casual line, Roots also carries sharp, cool leather outerwear, handbags, footwear, watches and accessories. The Roots style is based on quality, creativity and integrity and this shines through in every line, from the old and familiar to the new lines constantly being developed and introduced.

Canadian Roots
From its early start in Canada, Roots is still largely Canadian. Although not all products are still manufactured in Canada, Roots directly employs almost 2,000 people in Canada. Products are still designed by Canadian designers, and more Canadians are employed through suppliers to the company. Roots also sponsors several Canadian athletes and is active in many local and national charities involving children, the environment and giving back to the community.
